This course will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the foundational principles of Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy and Tabletop Role-Playing Games (TTRPGS), exploring how these two modalities can be integrated to enhance therapeutic outcomes. Through this integration, participants will learn to recognize the significance of the therapist’s personal identity and presence (Person of the Therapist) in the therapeutic process, particularly when combining IFS and TTRPGs. Finally, participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on experiential activities, demonstrating their ability to apply this intersection in clinical practice through a specific intervention.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will be able to describe the basic elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy and Tabletop Role-Playing Games (TTRPGs) and analyze how these elements can be integrated to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
  • Participants will be able to explain the importance of Person of the Therapist when integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Tabletop Role-Playing Games (TTRPGs).
  • Participants will demonstrate their understanding of the intersection of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Tabletop Role-Playing Games (TTRPGs) through engagement in an experiential activity demonstrating one clinical intervention.
