Video Games in Play Therapy

Difficulty

About this Event

More and more, child’s play is moving from time exploring the outdoors to the exploration of digital landscapes. As play culture moves online it’s important that therapists are also knowledgeable of and competent navigating the digital landscape of play. In this training, participants will explore the rich and imaginative worlds of video games and learn how to take the characters, concepts, and narratives present in video games and translate them to interventions in the play therapy room to facilitate connection, growth, and healing.
