This course describes and reviews the research on the final level of the Gottman’s Sound Relationship House: Creating Shared Meaning, and how it relates to “geek” relationships. This course will review the screening measures to assess the level of shared meaning in a relationship and how to apply evidence-based interventions if it is lacking in the relationship. This course will focus on assessment, intervention, and diagnosis specific skills for post-doctoral and master’s level clinicians who are working with clients facing these challenges.

1. Identify two valid screening tools to assess the level of shared meaning in a relationship
2. Identify two evidenced based interventions that are effective in increasing support for life dreams in a relationship
3. Identify two ways to use geek culture to increase support for life dreams in a relationship.
Course Instructor:
Wendi “Nicki” Line is a licensed mental health counselor with extensive training in clinical sexology and addiction combined with experience counseling in the inpatient and private practice settings. She is Kink Aware, Poly Friendly, and works with the LGBTQ+ communities. Wendi is the Vice President of the Sanctuary Center and an instructor at the International Academy of Collaborative Counseling and Coaching Education (IACCCE)
